The Fiber Network is Growing!

Construction Continues, Connections Climb

As construction continues on the fiber network, more members are being connected daily as Heartland REMC and TWN partner to bring reliable fiber internet to all of Heartland’s service territory.

The benefits of high-speed connectivity are endless. Not only is fiber internet from TWN fast and affordable, but it’s also unlimited and secure.

In today’s digital world, a dependable connection makes working from home, e-learning, online shopping, and streaming easier. The convenience of fiber connectivity simply can’t be beaten!

Currently, fiber internet is available in the following zones: Lafayette, Lincolnville, Uniondale, Huntington, Mt. Etna, and Hopewell. Soon, select neighborhoods throughout the Wabash West zone will also have access to residential fiber service.

With construction in its final stages in the Lafayette, Lincolnville, and Uniondale zones, nearly 2,000 members have fiber-to-the-home.

Meanwhile, construction is in full swing in the Huntington, Mt. Etna, and Hopewell zones.

The Huntington zone hit a recent milestone, surpassing 500 members now connected. Over 350 households in the Mt. Etna and Hopewell zones are enjoying high-speed fiber internet as well.

Crews also have been hitting the ground running in the Wabash West zone, the newest area where the fiber network is being constructed.

As the project moves forward, crews will continue to work above and below ground to prepare more areas for fiber service.
